February is looking like one hell of a time to be a fan of music in Los Angeles, and that feeling is only going to get stronger with the news that local psych rockers Hearty Har will be taking over the Hi Hat for two local band-heavy shows at the tail end of the month to promote a brand new EP. And the best part? Both shows are free (though 21+)!
On Tuesday, February 20th, Hearty Har will be joined by sunny, upbeat psych-rock brethren Levitation Room and Dream Phases, one of the hardest working bands in town, in support. Then a week later on the 27th, they’ll return to the Hi Hat yet again, with local indie rock luminaries Talk In Tongues with relative newcomers The Bash Dogs also primed and ready to take the stage!
Hearty Har have also released a single in preparation for the release of their new EP. The song’s titled “Psycho!” and it’s a firebrand version of the classic Sonics’ single that takes you on a wild ride from the get-go, screaming and wailing along the way! You can listen to the song by clicking here.
You can also read up on the last time we saw Hearty Har in action, opening up for The Babe Rainbow at the Echoplex last fall.
