When King Gizzard announced they were playing Hollywood Palladium, it was a game changer. The large cap venue was not only iconic, but a huge step forward for the band in terms of venue sizes and stature. The band has already played some of the largest and best festivals in the world, and their standout performances at fests like Coachella make them the highlight of any music fan’s weekend.

King Gizzard are taking their hard-hitting sound and stylings and creating huge fans at some of the largest venues in the world. Shock to some, and a sign of the times for others, King Gizzard ended up selling out the legendary Hollywood Palladium, playing both Observatories, and continuing on their stellar tour as more and more venues continue to sell out. California fans counted themselves among the lucky few that could, and mostly did, see the band at multiple stops on this tour.

Opening band Amyl and the Sniffers have released a now sold out cassette on Burger Records and are similarly aiming for the stratosphere. The coupling with King Gizzard illustrates the monumental trajectory buzzy Australian bands have not only in the U.S., but also the world.

Keep your eyes on these hard rocking badasses in the current years, because their current tour is one of the best we’ve seen in awhile.

Pits were full, and the entire Palladium was completely packed. The event looked like a huge cultural phenomenon and it really is when you think about it. King Gizzard are leading a hard rocking charge and revitalizing psych, thrash, metal, and bringing back good heavy music to the masses, one sold out show at a time. Even prog and folk has seen a resurgence as the multi membered band continue to develop and evolve their musical styles with collaborative albums like Sketcheswith bands like Mild High Club.

As stated previously, King Gizzard only have a few dates left where tickets are still available on their current tour, so grab em here. Make sure to catch them at Desert Daze for our #1 fest of the year from 2017, and looking like our #1 favorite fest of 2018 as well. You can grab tickets to Desert Daze here.
