Those familiar with Mac will know that he’s been on Captured Tracks for awhile. However, his contract ended recently, after, “This Old Dog”, and fans wondered what was next for the indie king. We now know that the loveable goofball has started his own label, “Mac’s Record Label”. This opens up a lot of possibilities, as the prolific artist has previously released demos, singles, vinyl only copies of material, and other rarities that could see a re-release. Based on the prodigious output, and one off social media only songs he’s debuted too, we could see a lot more material out on official formats on the new label. Released will be distributed through Universal Music Group’s Caroline.

In addition to the label news, Mac also announced a string of first ever solo shows. The “Purple Bobcat Next to River Tour.” He’s set to kick off the solo tour with a performance at the Tropicalia Fest in Long Beach, California, and will continue afterwards. Check the details below for his full tour info.
