2017 has been an amazing year for Hip-Hop. Rappers like Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper and Tyler the Creator have taken the world by storm with critically acclaimed and well received albums, major headlining spots at the worlds biggest festivals, and celebrity status as cultural icons. Let’s not forget about the fests themselves however.
Day N Night fest had a huge turnout at Anaheim Stadium and was a commercial and critical success, Coachella won big booking Kendrick, and Riot Fest did Chicago proud with Chance. Perhaps the best fest of the year was saved for last though as Rolling Loud just announced a hell of a lineup.
The world’s largest festival dedicated to Hip-Hop came heavy this year and finally branched out to Los Angeles.
According to the press release, the event, “founded by Tariq Cherif and Matt Zingler is the largest with over 120,000 fans packing the grounds over the course of three days at the Miami festival. In 2018, the festival will travel to China, Japan, and the United Kingdom, with offshoot festivals and events (dates yet to be announced,) and will culminate in the fourth annual Rolling Loud Festival in Miami in May 2018”
After selling out three years in a row in Miami, the fest is on the road internationally with a stop over in San Bernardino Dec 16tth nd 17th at the NOS Events Center.
