Is this the newest episode of Twin Peaks? Is this part of the Black Lodge? Hopefully the White Lodge?! We’d be into it, whatever it is. In an aim to showcase “real” Californian’s, Ugg has launched their 2017 Fall line, telling the stories of unique, diverse and spirited individuals who represent the brand.
The ads feature Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth fame, Wyatt and Fletcher Shears of The Garden, Kyle MacLachlan of Twin Peaks/David Lynch movie/tv fame (the man needs no introduction), and many artists, musicians, photographers and other generally amazing people who we’re waiting to identify.
We can dig that. Someone please get David Lynch involved, or maybe a supergroup can form? The Garden twins have been modeling for high end retailers and fashion houses, walking runways and appearing in videos and campaigns for years now so although this is no surprise to us, we’re really blown away by the accompanying models and campaign.
Additionally, we spotted artist Uzmaki Cepeda, and photographer Zackery Michael in the ads. The campaign highlights Californian coats, mountains, woodlands, cities and beach towns, so they pretty much nailed that imagery in the stuff we’ve seen so far.
Ugg’s campaign was shot by Frederich Auerbach and videographer Kauai Moliterno and produced by HDF.LA under the creative direction of Jessica Wells.
Watch the campaign video below and check the website for full bio on all the models, artists, photographers and talent involved.
You can catch The Garden on tour now, and don’t miss them at Tyler the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw in late October.
