The setting for Frankie and the Witch Fingers’ album release show at The Echo could only be described as fitting. Celebrating the release of Brain Telephone (order it here), the presence of foam mushrooms, eyeball beach balls and the residue of a smoke machine gone amok helped create a blatantly trippy atmosphere. What really cut through the theatrics and scenery, however, was the music. Frankie—as well as SF-based synth-punks POW! and promising garage rockers The Mad Walls—owned the stage and thrilled the crowd on hand.
